The 39C3 (39th Chaos Communication Congress) was held in Hamburg from December 27–30, 2025. Organized by the Chaos Computer Club and volunteers, this four-day event featured over 160 talks and workshops covering hacking, hardware, AI, digital rights, and the societal implications of technology—under the motto “Power Cycles.” It brought together hackers, activists, artists, and technologists in a collaborative “temporary city” for critical discourse, creative exchange, and hands-on experimentation.

It’s always good to review the past Year. In 2025 i did write 206 Blog Articles, that results in average 17 per Month. That’s three less than last year, but still very impressive.

Since a few days, the Public Beta of the E-ID of the Swiss Governement is accessible and can be used to issue, test and revoke Beta-ID Credentials.

First you need the swiyu Wallet App on your Smartphone:

• Apple iOS App Store

Everything has been set up. Now we can request the Beta ID Beta Credential Service

Blog Statistics 2024

It’s always good to review the past Year. In 2024 i did write 238 Blog Articles, that results in average 20 per Month. That’s three less than last year, but still very impressive.

In total i had about 160'000 Pageviews.

During 2023 i had over 139'000 Unique Users - 14'600 more than last year

Until now, .swiss domain names have been primarily reserved for companies listed in the Swiss commercial register since their introduction in 2015. However, as of April 24, 2024, this exclusivity will change. Private individuals and sole proprietorships, even those not formally registered in the commercial register, will now have the opportunity to register .swiss domains.

It’s always good to review the past Year. In 2023 i did write 272 Blog Articles, that results in average 23 per Month. That’s one less than last year, but still very impressive.

In 2015 i wanted to know how many SMTP Servers used STARTTLS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC. I’ve programmed a Webspider with PowerShell and collected about 100'000 Domains. Then made another Script that queried those domains and made SMTP Connect to find out if STARTTLS was in the ELHO Response. The Result was a Report of about 100'000 Domains from the .ch Top Level Domain.

The Results from 2015:

• About 90% of the Domains used MX
• About 75% of the SMTP Servers offered STARTTLS
• About 28% of the Domains with MX had an SPF Record
• About 1% or less DKIM and DMARC was barely present

In 2022 i have extracted the Open Data of Switch DNS Zone Data for the .ch Zone and wrote a Blog Article how i imported it into a SQL Database.
