Azure PowerShell Module Az 11.0.0 released

Hi All, Yesterday, a new major Version of the AZ (Azure) PowerShell Module has been released to PowerShell Gallery. PowerShell Gallery Az 11.0.0 A lot of news in the Release Notes Release Notes I am using the new PSResourceGet here instead of the PowerShellGet commands. Show installed Versions and what’s available in PowerShell Gallery Get-InstalledPSResource AZ -Scope AllUsers Find-PSResource AZ Uninstall the old Modules and install the current Modules Uninstall-PSResource AZ -Scope AllUsers Uninstall-PSResource AZ.

Hi All, Today i’ve seen the notification, that Azure Storage Explorer 1.31.1 has been released. In Fact i did miss the v1.31.0 that was released two weeks ago during my summer holydays. The Release notes can be found here August 2023 (Version 1.31.2) Version 1.31.1 Unter the Fixed issues we can see that they upgraded Electron that was also affected by the WebP Security Issue. Fixed Issues Installation Everything went smooth an now i am using Azure Storage Explorer 1.

Azure Monitor URL Ping test will be retired

Hi All, A few days ago, i received an Email from Microsoft that announces the retirement of URL Ping Test in Azure Monitor. On 30 September 2026, the URL ping test capability of the application insights feature of Azure Monitor will be retired There is some guidance available: Migrate availability tests I’ve set up a Azure Monitor with URL Ping a few months ago. That’s how the URL ping looks like

Use Managed Identity with Microsoft Teams on Azure Automation

Hi All, Hopefully you already know, that the Run As Accounts in Azure Automation will retire by end of September 2023. Therefore you have to migrate to Managed Identitys. Azure Automation Run As accounts will retire on 30 September 2023 and completely move to Managed Identities. All runbook executions using RunAs accounts, including Classic Run As accounts wouldn’t be supported after this date. Starting 01 April 2023, the creation of new Run As accounts in Azure Automation will not be possible.
